Gran Scala Project

Large Investment and Opportunities for the Region

The project is still in its early stages and regular meetings are taking place in Aragon to draw up more detailed plans and to ensure that the project works in harmony with the beautiful natural environment of the region. A consortium of companies is investing in the project and it is forecast that it will provide jobs for 60,000 people and cost in the region of seventeen billion Euros. Visitors are expected to come from all over Europe, with daily visitor numbers of about 25,000.

Project Infrastructure

Gran Scala transport

Gran Scala will be 4.5 km wide by 4.5 km long, covering an area of 2025 hectares. As a result the project is being carefully planned to ensure that the vast visitor numbers can move seamlessly through the resort and there is plenty of accommodation and services on site. There will be a tram connecting all the casinos and theme parks and large parking areas around the resort. Hotels, apartments and campsites will be located around the resort and shops, bars and restaurants will also be integral to the design.

The project will be built in 3 stages with the first themeparks, Spyland and Spaceport, being built as part of the first phase. Acquantica, the large themed waterpark, will also be a key attraction.
